Synopsis              :
                Brad Cohen is a man who has a Tourette syndrome. It’s a syndrome that can make a voice like animals (dog’s bark) or any noisy. He knows that when he was 6 years old. When he was a kid, he often made his teacher became angry with him because of his syndrome. But, his mother never gives up about his Tourette. She saw a doctor and asked Cohen to join Tourette syndrome community. But it doesn’t work. The doctor said Cohen never can get over from his syndrome. Since, His father and mother got divorce when he was a kid; His relationship with his father became complicated. Cohen grew up normally like other boys. He wants to be a teacher. He believes that he can be an excellent teacher although he has a Tourette. Actually, he has a great resume.
                He was looking for a job, and he got any job interview in many schools. He never hid his tourette when the principals asked him. And of course, the principals refused him to work in their school. But, he would not give up. One day, he got a job interview in Mountain View School. It is an Elementary School in Georgia. It’s the best interview that he ever had. Finally, he accepted in this school. He also met with a cute girl on computer chatting, Nancy. She became his girlfriend. She can accept him with his Tourette. Then, Cohen starts his class. He was very exciting with wonderful students. Their students like his class. He met Heather, the student who has a sickness. Heather’s Mom said she can’t live more long again because of her sickness. Finally, He has been chosen as a Teacher of the year in Sallie Mae Awards for all new educators of Georgia.



Moral values        : from this movie, we can get so many moral values.

·         We must never give up about something that we have been failed before.
For example       : Brad Cohen is never gives up when his job applies always refused by the school principals. Even he had applied for 24 schools.
·         We must become a winner of our illness. Don’t let our illness make us down.
For example       : Brad didn’t let her Tourette make him lose. He felt that him similar with other normally people.
·         We don’t judge someone by her/his appearances.
For example       : Nancy can stand Brad with his Tourette without feel embarrassed.
·         We must patient to face all problems. It can make us feel better.
For example       : Ellen, Brad’s mother, is never getting tired to support her son. She always be patient with any situation, so do Brad.
·         We have to make our disability become our excess
For example       : Brad made his Tourette become his excess to teach children. He success to make the different things became an interesting things.
·         We try pursue our dreams
For example       : although Brad has the Tourette, but he remains to make his dream become true. Finally, he got his success became an excellent teacher of all new educators in Georgia.

It means, he disappointed with Brad, but it is just expression by a little boy. And it doesn’t seriously problem.
Dad (Norman Cohen, Brad’s father) says to Brad
 “Hey, listen! I mean it”

It means, he gets angry with Brad. Because Brad always makes a noisy.
Dad (Norman Cohen) says to Brad
 “Brad, please. Stop doing that. Just stop it”
It means, he gets angry and asks Brad to stop making any noisy again. He can’t stand it.
Brad says to his Mom
” I don’t care about this. I hate school”

It means, he disappointed with his teacher and his school.
Jeff (Brad’s Brother) says to Brad
“Get out from me!”

It means, he asks brad to get out from him. It’s not serious, because they were playing a game.
Brad says to his Mom
 “I hate read, Mom!”

It means, he really don’t like it. But, it doesn’t mean, he never read again.
Amanda (Brad’s student) says to Brad
“I really like your class, Mr. Cohen!”

It means, she feels comfortable and enjoys the class.
Mom(Ellen, Brad’s Mom) says to Nancy (Brad’s girlfriend)
 “Oh, I can’t believe. Finally, I meet Nancy. Nancy, you look prettier than I thought”

It means, she is very happy and excited by Nancy.
Brad says to his Mom
“I don’t want to hurt her heart, Mom!”

It means he feels afraid.
Mom says to Brad
 “Oh, come on, Bobo. You can do this!”

It means, she gives encouragement to Brad.
Gaylon (Brad’s student) says to Brad
” you learn to keep going!”

It means, he gives encouragement to Brad.
Principal Myer (Brad’s school Principal when he was in Elementary school) says to Brad
 “it is pretty annoy. Is it?”

It means, he feels uncomfortable with the noisy.




Identification
Introduction       :
                Brad Cohen is a man who diagnosed had a Tourette syndrome. It’s a syndrome that can imitate other voice like animals voice. He couldn’t to hold it in. it is like sneeze. So, he couldn’t concentrate to study like other students. His teachers often got angry because of his voice. He often asked by his teacher to went out from the class and his mother, Ellen, often called by his teacher to control her son. His mother always patient and supports him to never give up. She saw a doctor to give medicine for her son. But, the doctor said Cohen maybe has a psychology problem after his parents got divorce. One day, his mother went to the library and she found medical books and found the name of Cohen sickness. It called Tourette syndrome. His father, Norman Cohen, got married again with Diane. His father can’t stand about Cohen sickness. He thought that Cohen just pretended to got attention. Relationship between Cohen and his father was being complicated. Cohen has a brother, his name is Jeff. He called Cohen as Doctor Bobo.
                One day, Cohen was asked by his teacher to saw the Principal, Principal Myer, because his made any noisy when class started. The Principal Myer asked him to go music concert on afternoon. Off course Cohen refused it, but The Principal asked him to be there. In the music concert, he was making noisy. At the end of the concert, the principal asked to audiences did them hear any weird noisy as long as concert beginning. All of them were looking at Cohen. The Principal Myer asked to Cohen to explain why he did that. Cohen explained what happened with him. The Principal Myer gives some encouragements with him. Cohen felt better because his friend and all of them can stand him well.

Climax                   :
                Cohen grew up like other boys. He wanted to be a teacher. He believed, he can be an excellent teacher although he had a Tourette syndrome. Actually, he had a good resume. His father doubted about his future. Cohen was looking for a job in Georgia, where his father live in. he got any jobs interview in many schools. He never hid his Tourette when recruiter or principals asked him about it. And off course, the principals ignored him because of his Tourrete. There are 24 schools that he applied for a job interview, but no one of them accepted him. He never gives up, whenever his father asked him to work at his father work. His mother, his brother and his friend always support him.
                One day, he got a job interview at Mountain Valley School. It’s an Elementary school in Georgia. It was the best job interview that he ever had. In short time, he accepted to work at the school. He will teach second grade. He was very happy. He also met a cute girl, Nancy. He met her at computer dating, and she became his girlfriend. He was very exciting with his class. He made everything that he needed in his class. He started to teach with wonderful students. They are Heather, Thomas, Gaylon, Amanda, Ile and others. They loved his class very much. It became an interesting class. But, something happened. Amanda’s father didn’t like Amanda studied in Cohen class. He afraid, Amanda can’t focus to study. On the other side, Heather loved his class, but Heather’s mother said that Heather had a sickness, and Heather can live more long again. In short time, Heather passed away. Everyone felt so sad.

Resolution          :
                Cohen needed to continue his Master degree. He must follow test and he needed a private room because of his Tourette can annoy other people. He got some problem of it, and then his father helped him to fix it. Finally, he can do the test, but he didn’t pass. He and Nancy went to see his mother, and introduced Nancy with his family. His mother loved Nancy. And also he and Nancy saw his father. Relationship between them becomes interesting again. His father avowed his fault as long as time.
                One day, a supervisor of teacher governments of Georgia assessed Cohen’s class. Fortunately, he has been chosen as a Teacher of the Year of all new educators in Georgia on Sallie Mae Award. His family, his students, and his friends at work were very proud with him.

Point of view      :
“I recommend all of you to watch this movie. This is for all ages.  I think this is great movie to watch, especially for disability person. This movie can inspire to never give up of your condition. And for us, who normally people, it is best movie which can show how to accept disability people and how to treat them well. So, never give up and make your dreams became true.”
